My bird watching technique: Notice a bird, try to watch where it goes, run to get my camera, take a million pictures from the porch, walk up to the bird while simultaneously trying to take pictures, bird gets annoyed and flies off, try to take pictures of bird flying away. This is maybe not the most effective technique, but I really get a work out with all the running around it requires, so whatevs.
